Peace Is "the Sacrifice of Trust"
I like to think of peace as the sacrifice of trust. You see, you and I make the sacrifice of trust when we face pain and stress in our lives and choose to trust God instead of panicking or falling apart. When circumstances in your life might tempt you to panic, feel terrified, become a nervous wreck, or be filled with fear, you can choose to either give in to those feelings OR trust in God- presenting yourself to Him to be filled with His peace. You can either trust Almighty God or give into the emotions of the flesh. Choosing to trust God- making the sacrifice of trust- causes you to experience His peace... even in the midst of tremendous uproar.
When we choose not to panic... but rest in God's presence.
When we release our terror... and trust in God's wisdom and ways.
When we reject our nervousness... and remember that God is in control.
