My thoughts on dating...
Who and when you date are very important choices. First off, when I say "dating" I mean when you and someone are involved and have a relationship, invested emotionally. (I think going on small dates, even group dates, are fun and normal!) Please don't jump into dating just because everyone else is dating. In books, ads, magazines, and on TV, dating is portrayed as normal and popular. But if you look beyond the glamour and read stories based on real-life, you'll discover that relationships are difficult areas. You'll see how very easy it is to make wrong choices that will hurt you and others.
So what can you do while you're waiting to date? Be patient as you wait. Character- yours and the persons you date- takes time... years... to fully develop. Pursue godliness in your own life and trust God to bring the right boy to you. Above all, enjoy being you. Enjoy your life now. Make good girlfriends!!! Spend your time- AND EMOTIONS- on people and activities at home, church, at school. Be careful not to obsess on a guy (or guys). God wants your mind on Him- on growing spiritually, on living His way, on developing into the woman He created you to be! BECOME YOUR DREAM GIRL. Don't be so set on finding your dream guy, become that dream girl!
You are first and foremost a young woman after His own heart.
Don't ever forget that.
